Yashasvi was born in Suriyawan, Uttar Pradesh on December 28,2001. He was fond of playing Cricket from an early age. At the age of 10 years, he was enrolled at Azad Maidan after moving to Mumbai for Cricket training. Furthermore, to fulfill his dream he used to live in the tents with the groundmen at Maidan.

However, after 3 years his talent was recognized by Jwala Singh (the owner of Santacruz Cricket Academy) in 2013. Later Jwala provided Jaiswal full support regarding his training and stay and became the legal guardian of him.

Career Details

Yashasvi Jaiswal’s International Career

Jaiswal joined the Test Squad of India after the maiden call in June 2023 for the series against West Indies. Later his Test debut was on July 12, 2023, where he scored a century as the opening batsman. In addition, he became the Man of the Match too for scoring fabulous 171 runs and leading his team towards victory. 

However, the T20I debut of Jaiswal was in August 2023 in a series against West Indies. Furthermore, he scored his half century in T20I in the 4th match of the series with 84*/51. Here, he also completed the 165-runs opening partnership with the marvelous Shubman Gill.

International Details

Early Career

In 2015, Jaiswal stole the limelight after a fantastic all-rounder performance and scoring 319* runs and takes 13/99 during Giles Shield Match. Moreover, this performance of Jaiswal paved his way further in the Mumbai under-16 and India National under-19 team. During the Asia Cup 2018, Yashasvi was the leading run-scorer with 318 runs and was also declared as the Player of the tournament.

After his continuous brilliant performances, in December 2019, Jaiswal’s name was included in the India’s Squad for the ICC under-19 Cricket World Cup 2020. Later he became more prominent as he was the leading run scorer in that tournament. In addition, he also scored a century against Pakistan in the semifinals.

Domestic Career

At domestic level, Jaiswal started by playing Ranji Trophy 2018/19 for Mumbai. Later he also played for Vijay Hazare Trophy 2019/20. Whereas he was among the India B Squad for the Deodhar Trophy 2019/20.

IPL Career

Jaiswal was first bought by Rajasthan Royals in the auction of IPL 2020. Furthermore, his maiden T20 fifty was against Chennai Super Kings in October 2021. However, his maiden century in T20 was against Mumbai Indians with 124/62 runs. Later he scored the fastest half century of IPL against Kolkata Knight Riders with just 13 balls.

In addition, he also broke the record of Pat Cummins and KL Rahul. During the IPL 2023, he played for Rajasthan Royals and became the leading run scorer with 625 runs in 14 Matches.
