International Career of Will Young

Will’s international Career starts in 2020 with the debut in the Test Match against West Indies. Furthermore, he was also among the players of the New Zealand team who won the 2019/2021 ICC World test Championship.

Later in 2021, he appeared in the ODI Cricket for New Zealand team against Bangladesh. In addition, his T20I career begins the same year in March 2021 that too against Bangladesh.

Will’s 1st ODI century (103 unbeaten runs) was against Netherlands in the opening match in 2022.

Domestic Career

At domestic level, Will started with the debut in First-Class cricket in 2011 by joining Central Districts. Moreover, he was the captain of the team in 2015. In addition, his team in 2016 won the Ford trophy and in 2018 1st-class Plunket Shield Unbeaten under his captaincy. After the successful domestic career start Will then resigned from captaincy and focused on the international career.

Whereas without playing any match at international level previously, he was provided a central contract for 2019-20 by the New Zealand Cricket team. Also, he played for Nottinghamshire, Durham and Northamptonshire in 2021-2023.
