Early Career of Tabraiz Shamsi

When Shamsi was a teenager, he participated in school cricket matches as a frontline seam bowler. However, during his trials for the under-19 team, his coaches informed him that he wasn’t nearly fast enough to be a seam bowler. Hence, He was advised by his instructors to switch to spin bowling because he was known for bowling a lot of cuts.

For the cricket team of St. Kitts and Nevis Heroes in the 2015 Caribbean Premier League of T20, Shamsi claimed the most wickets. Hence, He was named on the 2015 Africa T20 Cup cricket team roster for Eastern.

Further, in preparation for the 2016 Indian Premier League, Shamsi was signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore in April 2016 to fill in for the injured Samuel Badree.
