First Innings, (South Africa Vs Afghanistan) 

Afghanistan on 244 Runs on the loss of 10 wickets in 50 overs

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran

Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran started the first innings as the openers of the Afghanistan team. Whereas Kagiso Rabada was the bowler during the early overs. Ibrahim shot a fabulous boundary 4 on the 5th ball of the innings and repeated it again during the 1st over. Later in the 3rd over, Ibrahim initiated a beautiful 4, following him Gurbaz initiated the 1st stunning boundary 6 during the 4th over. So, the 5 overs completed with 24/0 for Afghanistan.

The match was stable during the early overs as the players played very carefully. Moreover, Gurbaz initiated his 1st boundary 4 during the 6th over. In addition, he rocked the scores during the 7th over and gave 2 sizzling boundary 4s. However, on the 1st ball of the 8th over, he lost his wicket by Keshav Maharaj at 25/22 runs.

Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah

After the loss of the 1st Wicket, Rahmat Shah came as the next top order batsman. However, no run was made until the 9.3 over where Ibrahim’s wicket was dismantled by Coetzee at 15/30.

At the 10 overs, Afghanistan was on 41/2, and the captain of the team Hashmatullah Shahidi played as the next batsman. Unfortunately, he also lost his wicket on the strike by Keshav Maharaj at 2/7 runs during the 10th over.

After the sudden loss of wickets for the Afghanistan team, the match became slow until the 15 overs with 56/3. Later on, the 1st ball of the 15th over, Rahmat played a classical boundary 4. Whereas the next 3 overs went with slow runs without any boundary hit. However, during the 19th over, Azmatullah initiated a fabulous boundary 6. So, the score was 78/3 in 20 overs.

After 20 overs, Rahmat shot a beautiful boundary 4 during the 21st over. However, his wicket was later dismantled by Lungi Ngidi at 26/46 at the end of the 23rd over.

Azmatullah Omarzai and Ikram Alikhil

Rahmat went and Ikram Alikhil took the spot. In addition, Ikram played a fantastic boundary 4 during the 24th over and a stunning boundary 6 at the end of the 25th over. Later at the end of the 26th over, his wicket was gone by the strike of Coetzee at 12/14 runs.

Azmatullah Omarzai and Mohammad Nabi

Mohammad Nabi came and got out only after the 4 balls at 2/3. Moreover, his wicket was dismissed by Ngidi during the 27th over.

Rashid Khan came as the next player. Furthermore, Azmatullah cheered the game as he played a flawless 4 during the 28th over and 2 back-to-back 4s during the 29th Over. Hence, the score became 134/6 at the 30 overs for the team Afghanistan. After just a boundary 4 during the 31st over, the remaining overs went without any boundary hit until the 35th over.

 However, Azmatullah completed his half Century on the 1st ball of the 36th over. Later, Rashid Khan went out on the ball by Phehlukwayo at 14/30 runs during the 37th over.

Noor Ahmed took the place and the play started again. After the distance of 1 over and during the 39th over, Noor initiated his first boundary 4 along with a sizzling 4 from Azmatullah too. At the 40 overs, 173/7 was the total score for Afghanistan team. Later both players played a pair of boundary 4s in between the 41st and 42nd over. This partnership went well as the scores increased and came close to the 200.

At the 3rd ball of the 43rd over, Noor again shot a boundary 4. Moreover, he again played a boundary 4 during the 45th over however on the next ball lost his wicket. In addition, his wicket was dismissed by Coetzee at 26/32 runs.

Azmatullah Omarzai and Mujeeb Ur Rahman

Mujeeb Ur Rahman came, and the game started again by the flawless boundary 4 of Azmatullah at the start of the 46th over. In addition, during the same over, both Mujeeb and Azmatullah initiated a pair of spectacular boundary 6s. But the match halted again as the wicket of Mujeeb was lost during the 47th over at 8/5 runs by Coetzee.

Azmatullah Omarzai and Naveen ul Haq

Naveen ul Haq came as the next player. At the 2nd ball of the 48th over, Azmatullah shot a majestic boundary 6. However, the remaining balls went without any boundary hit. Furthermore, Naveen too went out on the last ball of the 49th over on the run out by Kagiso Rabada at 2/4.

Whereas Azmatullah made 97/107 and remained not out.

Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma(C)

At the beginning of the 2nd innings, Quinton de Kock and Temba Bavuma were the openers from South Africa. Whereas Mujeeb Ur Rahman was the bowler from Afghanistan. Rassie van der Dussen and Aiden Markram 

Aiden Markram started to play after de Kock. During the 14th over, Dussen initiated a beautiful boundary 4 and the score became 75/2 in 15 overs. In addition, Markram also shot a classical boundary 6 at the end of the 16th over with a 4 during the 18th over. At 20 overs, the score became 99/2 runs.

Furthermore, at the start of the 21st over, Dussen too initiated a boundary 6. Later Markram’s wicket was dismantled by Rashid Khan at the 1st ball of the 23rd over with 25/32 runs.

Later the game went slow without any boundary hit until the 45th over. Later on, the 4th ball of the 45th over, Phehlukwayo hit a sizzling boundary 6.

Furthermore, Phehlukwayo initiated a beautiful boundary 6 at the first ball of the 47th over and then again shot a 4 on the 2nd ball too. Moreover, he closed the game with one more boundary 6 at 247/5 runs at the 3rd ball of the 47th over.
