Previously, the 1st ODI from the series of 3 between AUS vs IND was won by India Fabulously. Now, the 2nd ODI was held at Holkar Stadium. Here, the Australian team tried hard but again team India achieved a thrilling Victory. Also won the series with 2-0. Overall team India made an amazing 399/5 in 50 Overs.

Furthermore, Shreyas Iyer is the Man of the Match for his magnificent Performance. Shreyas scored a brilliant 105 runs in 90 balls. Moreover, his attacking top-order batting is worth watching.

Personal Information

Shreyas is the right-hand batsman of the Indian National team. He was born in Chembur, Mumbai on December 6, 1994, in a Tamil Family. However, he started his training for cricket in 2012, when he was 18 years old. Iyer was famous among his fellows due to his playing resemblance with Virender Sehwag. Also, during his graduation period he won trophies in some Matches for his Podar College Mumbai.

International Career of Shreyas Iyer

Starting with the Test debut in 2017, Shreyas played for the Indian team against Australia in the 4th test Match. Later in the same year he was selected in the T20I Squad of India. His debut in T20I Cricket was on November 1, 2017, against New Zealand. But he did not play in that Match.

Following the T20I series against NZ, Iyer got selected for the ODI squad too. Later he appeared in ODI cricket against Sri Lanka in December 2017. Here, he achieved an impressive score of 88 runs in 70 balls at Mohali Cricket ground.

Iyer’s maiden ODI century was on February 5, 2020 against NZ having 103 runs in 107 balls.

Later after scoring a maiden test century against NZ in 2021, he was the 16th Indian player to do so. In 2022, Shreyas was also nominated as the ICC Player of the month due his impressive efforts.

Domestic Career

At domestic level, Iyer’s career started in 2014 by joining Trent Bridge Cricket team in the UK. Whereas in India he played in List A for Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2014-15. But his appearance in 1st Class cricket was for Ranji Trophy in 2014-15. Also, he became the 7th highest scorer of that season.

Later, he made different records in various seasons of Ranji trophy. Iyer became the Vice-captain of the Mumbai team for the Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2018. Also, he was the highest run scorer of that season for Mumbai Squad. He also played for Deodhar Trophy as Captain of India Bs Squad in 2018-19 and the highest run scorer as well.

 At Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019, he was the leading run scorer. Shreyas also played for Lancashire in the 2021 season of Royal London One-day Cup.

PSL Career 

The PSL Career of Shreyas started in 2015 when he was first selected by Delhi Daredevils. Also, he scored a massive 439 scores in that season. That’s why Delhi Daredevils ranked him as the Captain of Delhi Daredevils in 2018. Also, he was the youngest Captain of that time. During his Captaincy in the 2019 IPL season, DD played in the playoff Matches for the 1st time in the history of IPL.

In 2021, due to his shoulder injury, he had to leave the half season of IPL. Later in 2022, he was auctioned by Kolkata Knight Riders as their Captain.
