Sanju Viswanath Samson is commonly known as Sanju Samson. Moreover, he was born on November 11, 1994. Yet Pulluvila, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India, was his place of birth. International Career of Sanju Samson

Debut and Maiden Call Up (2014–15)

Sanju tried to initiate his career in 2014. Yet he was part of the 17-man squad to play ODIs and T20Is against England. Nevertheless, he did not make it to the final 11. Yet he was the backup for MS DHoni as wicketkeeper. Later on, in October 2014, he was called for a T20I against the West Indies. To his hard luck, it was also canceled.

Moreover, in December 2014, he was added to the 30-person list of those who had a probability of being part of the ICC ODI World Cup 2015. Later on, in July 2015, he was added to the Indian squad against Zimbabwe for one ODI and two T20Is. However, it is noteworthy that he played as a replacement for Ambati Rayudu.

Since he made his debut for T20I against Zimbabwe at Harare on July 19, 2015, Following the top-order collapse, he shot 36 runs in wicket 6. However, Stuart Binny was with him in the low-scoring chase. However, India lost to Zimbabwe by 10 runs.

Return and Pause-Start anew (2019–2021)

He was re-added to the team after the four-year break in October 2019. So he was associated with the T20I squad against Bangladesh. Yet he was not allowed to play in the whole series. Moreover, he was added to the Indian squad against the West Indies as a replacement for Shikar Dhawan. Moroevre was added to the T20I squad against Sri Lanka in December 2019.

He was added to the ODI and T20I squads against Sri Lanka in June 2021. So he played his first ODI against Sri Lanka on July 23, 2021.

However, he could not play well, and India lost to Sri Lanka. Thus, he was not added to the team for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2021.

Among the Runs (2022-Present)

He was added to the T20I squad against Sri Lanka on February 20, 2022. He could not play the first. Yet he scored 39/18 in later matches. Moreover, he played in a T20I against Ireland. Moreover, in the second match, he hit 77/42 in T20I. Furthermore, he played with Deepak Hooda in a 176-run partnership for the second wicket. He was added to the T20I squad against England on June 20, 2022. Yet he was not added to Team 11. Moreover, he was added to the ODI squad against the West Indies. Moreover, he scored his maiden 50 in the second match of the series.

Yet he made a 99-run dup with Shreyas Iyer in the fourth wicket, setting the base for India’s triumph. Furthermore, he was added to the T20I squad on July 29, 2022, as a replacement for KL Rahul. Later on, he was added to the ODI squad against Zimbabwe. Moreover, he made an unbeaten 43. Yet he grabbed three catches. Yet he was declared Man of the Match.

He was added to the team for three ODI’s against South Africa in October 2022. However, he hit an unbeaten 86 against 63 balls in his first ODI. Stil the team, India lost. Moreover, he was added to the national squad for a 3-ODI series against South Africa. However, he hit a match-winning century, yet he earned the Man of the Match award.

Domestic Career

Samson initiated his youth career in Kerala. Yet he began with the captaincy of the U13 in 2007. Moreover, he played in the KSCA Inter-State U-13. Moreover, he was also a member of Kerala U16. Later on, he joined U19. Moreover, he was added to the U-19 India team during the U-19 Asia Cup. Furthermore, he was added as vice captain of U19 for Top End Under 19 against Australia.

Sanju Samson

It is to be noted that he began his domestic career in the 2008–09 Vijay Merchant Trophy with a double century. It thus resulted in his being selected for Ranji Torphy in 2009–10. Further, he made his first-class doubt through the Ranji Trophy 2011–12. He was appointed as captain. Yet he struggles to convert the season into a successful result.
