Shami was born in Uttar Pradesh India on September 3, 1990. His father was also a fast bowler in his youth but later became a farmer. At the age of 15 Shami was brought to the Moradabad town for Cricket training. At first Shami used to practice with the old used balls to become an expert in reverse swing. In addition his brother is also a Cricketer. Currently he is the fast Bowler of the Indian Cricket team. In addition, he is a versatile bowler.

International Details of Mohammad Shami

Shamis’ Test international Career began in 2013 at Kolkata Eden Garden Stadium. Whereas the opposing team was the West Indies. At his test debut he took his maiden Wicket of Kieran Powell. Also he was the 1st Indian pacer who took 9 Wickets in 118 runs in his debut. 

On the other hand, Shami started his ODI career with the series against Pakistan in 2013. Later he was also among the Indian Squad to play in ICC World Cup 2015. Moreover, he was also included in the Indian Squad to play in the ICC Champions Trophy in 2017. Shami also played in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019.

T20I Career of Shami started in 2014 with the debut against PAK. Shami was also among the Indian Squad to play in ICC T20 World Cup in 2021, T20 World Cup 2022, and the previously held Asia Cup 2023.

In 2010, his domestic career began by playing for Bengal and taking 4 Wickets in a T20 Match. Later in 2012, he played for East Zone in the Duleep Trophy.
