Finally, the Asia Cup 2023 Season comes to an End as its final match was held at R.Premadasa Stadium. Furthermore, the final Match was Between IND vs SL. India achieved a thrilling Success and Crushed Sri Lanka Cricket team with 10 Wickets. However, Mohammad Siraj (Man of the Match) is the major pillar behind this Success.

Siraj took 6 important Wickets of Sri Lankan batsmen and led his team towards a Spectacular Success. Major breakthrough is that Siraj took 6 Wickets in just 7 Overs. Also, he showed a kind gesture by giving his Cash prize to the staff of the R.Premadasa Stadium for their untiring efforts during the Asia Cup 2023.

Although the Match is suspended for some time due to the rain, the damp pitch later gave favor to the Pacers of India. And just like this the Sri Lanka Cricket team were all out in just 15.2 Overs by making only 50 runs. Later, team India Completed the target score in just 6.1 Overs.

Now India as the final winner of the Asia Cup of 2023 is Ended.

However, this match became the record in history for M. Siraj for his 6 Wickets haul. Also, Siraj is now included in the list of 4 Indian bowlers to complete his Fast 50 Wickets in ODIs Swiftly.

With this he also named himself as the first Indian Bowler to get 4 Wickets in 1 Over.

M. Siraj was born on March 13, 1994, in Hyderabad, India. He belonged to a Muslim poor family where his father drove a Rickshaw to support his family. Currently he is a Right-hand Batsman and Right-arm fast bowler of Indian Cricket team.

International Career of Mohammad Siraj

At the international level, Siraj was selected in the Indian Squad for T20I in 2017 against New Zealand. In 2018, he was Selected in the Test International Squad of India against WI. Yet he did not play for some reasons. Again in 2018, Siraj was selected in Squad of India for the ODI Series against AUS.

Later, Siraj was again selected for the Test Squad in 2020 for the series against AUS. But this selection was just a replacement of a player. However, it’s the Test debut of his Career for Siraj.

In his test debut, Siraj bowled out Marnus Labuschagne. Following the Test Series against AUS, Siraj created his 5 Wicket Spell on the 4th Test.

Also, Siraj was selected as the No. 1 ODI fast Bowler for ICC Rankings of ODI bowlers in 2023.

Domestic Information

Siraj’s domestic Career was started in 2015 with Hyderabad for Ranji trophy (2015-16). Also, he took the most Wickets for his team Hyderabad in 2016-17. In 2016 he also played for Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Later in 2017, he was bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the IPL. However, in the IPL 2018, Siraj was selected by Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Moreover, for Vijay Hazari trophy 2017-18, he was the highest Wicket taker. In 2018 he also played for Deodhar Trophy. Siraj also made a record in IPL 2020 Season by becoming the 1st fast bowler for bowling back maiden overs in a match.
