International Stats

Test Series Career

Miraz’s test series career began in 2016, when he played against England. He amassed five wickets, becoming the fifth player from Bangladesh to do so. He became the first Bangladeshi player and the ninth player on the ICC’s international list by winning player of the series.

 His bowling prowess at the time brought him greater renown than his hitting. He made history in November 2018 when he defeated the West Indies as a guest bowler, taking five wickets. He is ranked first among Bangladeshi test bowlers. In a test, he achieved his first century, scoring 103 in February 2021.

One-Day International Career

He grabbed his first wicket in his first ODI, which he played in March 2017 against Sri Lanka. He has been selected for the 2019 ODI World Cup squad for Bangladesh. He engaged in combat with the West Indies in December 2020. They triumphed in the series 3-0. On January 20, 2021, he was placed fourth in the ICC ODI bowling rankings after that series. In February 2022, he defeated Afghanistan and set the record for most runs scored in an ODI chase with 81.

He defeated India with his first century, giving Bangladesh the series victory. Bangladesh was in a must-win scenario in September 2023 if they were to maintain their Asia Cup 2023 campaign. Bangladesh defeated Afghanistan by 89 runs thanks to dominant performances by Najmul Hossain Shanto and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, two up-and-coming batsmen who both struck hundreds.

T20 Internationals

He made his international cricket T20 debut during a series against Sri Lanka. Ten players obtained core contracts from BCB, and he was one of them.

Domestic Career

Miraz scored 51 runs in the first innings and took four wickets in his first-class cricket match in Rajshahi Division. In November 2016, he debuted with Twenty 20. In 2016–17, he competed for Rajshahi Kings in the Bangladesh Premier League. He played for the Rajshahi Kings one more time in 2018–19. But he was chosen in November 2019 to play for Khulna Tigers in the BPL from 2019 to 2020. In 2022, he participated for the Chatogram Challengers.
