International Career

K L Rahul made his Test debut in the 2014 Boxing Day Test. Yet he made his maiden international century in Sydney. Moreover, he was added to the Indian squad for their tour of Bangladesh in June 2015. However, he could not play due to dengue fever.

In 2016, he was added to the national squad for play against the West Indies. However, he scored 158 runs, his highest score till then. Moreover, in the 2016–17 test series, he got injured while training.

Rahul made his first-class cricket debut for Karnataka in 2010-11, scoring 143 runs in the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He made his Indian Premier League debut in 2013 and scored 1,033 runs in the domestic season. In 2014–15, he became Karnataka’s first triple-centurion, scoring 337 against Uttar Pradesh and 188 in the Ranji Trophy final.
